GCE O Levels Preparatory Courses

GCE ‘O’ LEVEL PREPARATORY COURSE

 

Examining Body:

University of London (UOL) / London Cambridge / Singapore Cambridge

Our objective is to prepare students for their GCE ‘O’ level examinations. Students who pass and obtain good results in their examination can pursue their next path of education into Singapore Polytechnics, Junior Colleges and Universities, as well as pursue their education at Overseas Colleges and Universities.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

1) Students must have successfully completed/passed ESOL (English Speakers of Other Languages) course at intermediate level

2) Students must be 16 years old or above and must have successfully completed/ passed high school or its equivalent

3) For foreign students, a security deposit is required upon IPA/ICA Student Pass approval and subsequently. A medical check-up is compulsory

Examination Periods:

Yearly in June and November

 

Total Course Duration:

1) Full-time students have to attend classes 5 days a week and 3 hours per day at morning and afternoon session ( 9.30am–12.30pm & 1.45pm–4.45pm).

2) Full-time students can complete the diploma in 6 months

 

Mode of Instruction:

Classroom contact will consist of lectures and tutorials. They will be used to illustrate relevant concepts and techniques. Active participation and interaction will be encouraged to promote a spirit of enquiry and challenge.

 

Class Size:

Maximum of 40 students per class to promote active learning and interaction.

 

Lecturer Qualification:

Lecturers have been approved by the Ministry of Education. They will typically possess a bachelor degree or higher, have qualifications in relevant fields and have at least 3 years of teaching experience.

APPLICATION PROCEDURES:

 

A) To complete the Application Form you have to provide us the following:

1. Photocopied educational certificates, transcripts, awards and testimonials, translated by recognized authority into English.

2. 4 passport-sized photographs. Kindly write your name on the reverse side of your photographs.

3. Resume/C.V.

B) The completed Application Form must be submitted to Singapore Education Enrollment Services. Original certificates, transcripts, awards and testimonials must be presented to us for verification purposes.

C) A signed Escrow Confirmation Agreement and a Standard Student Contract.
